Tadap Wear is a Mumbai-made lingerie label. We don't do shy.
In 2022, Aisha had just moved back to Mumbai from her years in London. She walked into a Bandra lingerie store, asked for a 34D, and was handed a bra that fit like a punishment. The salesgirl whispered. The catalogue had no Indian women in it. The pieces that did look beautiful were imported and cost ₹6,000.
That night she texted Reema, an old friend from NIFT now running a small atelier in Goregaon: "Why is there no Indian lingerie brand that fits us, looks like us, talks like us, and doesn't cost a week's salary?"
Three months later, the first ten pieces of Tadap Wear were stitched on Reema's table.
Today we are a team of seventeen — fourteen women, three men. Every piece is cut, stitched, and quality-checked in our Bandra studio. We work with imported satin, lace and modal from suppliers we've personally visited. Nothing is mass-produced. Each design takes 4–6 weeks from sketch to shelf.
Our tagline — "Woh tadap jo dikh jaaye" — was something Aisha's grandmother used to say teasingly. We took it because that's the energy we want our customers to walk out the door with. Not the kind of confidence that needs a man's approval. The kind that exists whether anyone is looking or not.
Every order ships in a plain matte-black box with only our monogram. No product names. No images. No "lingerie company" stamps. Your delivery guy doesn't need to know. Your roommate doesn't need to know. Your mother definitely doesn't need to know.
Every piece is graded for Indian fit data, not borrowed from Western patterns that don't account for our shape.
No 5x markups. Our cost-plus model means a ₹1,500 piece actually costs us about ₹600. We tell you the truth.
Plain matte-black box, no brand outside, no product names on invoices. Your privacy is non-negotiable.
Not imported. Not drop-shipped. Stitched by women in our Bandra studio, paid above-minimum, with health benefits.
